That time of year has come around quickly!! #LAMBING!!1st of October 2023 the Rams went in, here is the first lambs to hit the ground, just under 5 months later!We run our ewes on a 6 monthly joining program! 1st of April & 1st of October, the rams go in for 35 days.Going through data recently, one of our ewes weaned 126kg of lambs last year. 2 sets of twins. Not a bad effort!! Both sets of twins classed into our top group of lambs.It is a shame that only the first set of twins will be recognized by lambplan in the NLW breeding value… especially with Carbon Neutral targets put on the sheep industry & NLW being a favourable driving force!
