Joining maiden ewes… We’ve sent the rams in !! These girls are Aug/Oct 2018 drop. You don’t want to join too young, and not allow for adequate growth/frame size. However you don’t want to leave it too late, as one of the great strengths of Dorpers is their fertility !! We’re not harvesting a wool clip so it is essential we get lambs on the ground! Joining at this age also gives you the option to sell off any drys that haven’t scanned pregnant & sell into the lamb meat market before their two teeth are in wear.
